Practice Nurse

BMC and WAIC is seeking a self- motivated and enthusiatic person (RN or EN)  to provide professional and High quality nursing to our patients.

Your Duties will include (but not limited to)

• Administration of Iron infusions. 
• Patient education 
• IV cannulation
• Chronic disease management
• wound care
• immunisation.

WA Iron Centre is  dedicated to the management of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia in WA.  The centre is led by Clinical Associate Professor Pradeep Jayasuriya, a leading expert in the treatment of iron deficiency. We offer a high level of care and management for people diagnosed with iron deficiency including the administration of Iron infusions. Our dedicated staff deliver a personalised, high standard of care in a calm and friendly environment where we aim to make you feel involved, informed and confident with the treatment you will provide. 

Requirements

• AHPRA registration as Division 1 Registered Nurse or Division 2 Enrolled Nurse
• IV cannulation skill preferred or willingness to learn (training will be provided
• Experience as a practice Nurse, IV suite or similar
• Proficiency with IT systems and Microsoft suite of programs 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Stong Communication skills
• Efficient multitasking, Problem solving and time management skills
• Current Drivers Licence
• Working with Children check and National Police Clearance or ability to obtain these
• Current CPR certification 
• Immunisation certification preferred 
• Flexibility to cover sick and holiday leave
