CRS are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Dentist who is trained in dental sleep medicine. CRS has its own dental sleep service, where we provide custom-fitted mandibular advancement splints (MAS) to our patients who have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnoea, bruxism or are primary snorers.

CRS provides a “turn-key” arrangement for Dentists looking to perform sleep dentistry: our clinics have dedicated, customised spaces for providing MAS, as well as all equipment required to perform the procedure. We have a dedicated team of technologists and administrative staff to manage the patient’s journey, including long-term follow-up and after-care. We have our own intraoral scanner for performing the scans.

What is the arrangement?

As a CRS associated Sleep Dentist, you will explain the benefits and potential side effects of MAS to our patients, before scanning them with a Trios intra-oral scanner. You will follow up with the patient once the custom-made splint is ready for fitting, ensuring a comfortable and effective fit for the patient. You will instruct the patient on correct use, cleaning, and titration to ensure effective and compliant treatment. You will provide long-term follow-up and support for CRS patients, and work collaboratively with our team of sleep physicians, CPAP technologists and sleep scientists in ensuring a comprehensive, holistic approach to sleep therapy.

You will be remunerated on a fee-per-patient basis, benefitting from a significant flow of new patients given our expansive sleep diagnostics service.

You will work predominantly from our Murdoch and Nedlands rooms, with the potential for expansion of our services at other clinics, including Bunbury.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority.
  • A post graduate qualification in Dental Sleep Medicine is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience and passion for dental sleep medicine
  • Experience in using an intraoral scanner (Trios) is highly desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Ability to work within a small, dynamic team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach to care
