Expansion of quality indicators in aged care
- The Department of Health and Aged Care expands the National Aged Care Mandatory Quality Indicator Program (QI Program) in in-home and residential aged care in Australia.
- Under the QI Program, residential aged care providers need to report on care’s crucial areas for the quality and health outcome improvement of the elderly people.
- The program includes four quality indicators for residential aged care and five indicators for in-home aged care.
