Implant Planning - Clinical Assessment course for Dental Practice
This session describes the clinical assessments that are necessary in implant planning.
Learning objectives
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- describe the key clinical considerations when planning implant therapy
- list the factors which may contraindicate implant therapy
Remember that a patient should never be assessed purely from the perspective of implant therapy. When considering the need or otherwise to replace missing teeth, all options should be kept in mind.
Before commencing this session you should have knowledge of:
- routine dental examination and assessment procedures
- the anatomy of dental tissues
