Vital Occupational Therapy is an independent occupational therapy provider operating throughout Perth, predominantly in the northern suburbs. We are NDIS registered and work with adults via NDIS funding. We work with clients with a range of disabilities with a focus predominantly on cognitive and psychosocial disabilities. We are client focussed operating from a strong ethical platform where service quality is paramount.
About You
You will be an experienced therapist with a broad range of skills. You are wanting regular casual/contract work with an attractive remuneration to fit around your lifestyle. You will be organised and committed to high quality service delivery. You enjoy creative problem solving and working independently.
The Role
This role involves working with clients with a range of disabilities, in collaboration with their family and support workers and other support providers to implement Occupational Therapy strategies. Our service's focus is on:
ï‚· Daily living skills development/ capacity building
ï‚· Complex needs assessments including housing needs assessments
ï‚· Working with clients with dual diagnoses - eg cognitive and mental health
- Hours of work are flexible - regular, ongoing work is available
- Caseload is tailored to your skills, experiences and interests.
- Remuneration is on a percentage of billable hours basis.
Skills and Experience Required for this Role
- Bachelor of Science Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Professional registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist across a range of clinical areas.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Effective organisational and problem solving skills.
- Current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
- Experience working within the NDIS desirable but not essential.
