A team of 10 clinicians at Wagga Wagga hospital has started trials using a mobile notifications pilot run of real-time pathology risk indicators, receiving results via the Miya Precision Clinical Decision Support Tool which was created by Alcidion.
The CSIRO’s will use the data inputs and make the results accessible on the Miya platform then notifications will be sent to Apple devices. The aim is to provide clinicians easy access to important data insights that can help them understand the risk of deterioration of patients and to have convenient mobile access to X-rays and pathology results.
A second trial is underway with the buildout of an open platform with mock data that developers and researchers will use to test new functionalities and suitability of their models without risking patients’ privacy.
Evidentli, a Cloud software specialist, is using a clinical research automation software called Piano to connect to various data sources and offers security and workflow automation. Statistic, analytic, and documentation tools will enable Murrumbidgee LHD to execute clinical research.
The 2 trial programs were created to provide clinicians the tools to merge evidence-based medicine with value-based care and let them create new treatment protocols and interventions that would hopefully improve patient results whilst decreasing the cost of healthcare.
