Medical Receptionist

We are looking for an experienced casual medical receptionist to join our long-established privately owned general practice. Immediate start. We are located at Belmont NSW, overlooking the beautiful Lake Macquarie in Newcastle area.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated person who not only has excellent administrative skills who also has outstanding customer service skills. We are seeking a team player to assist in the daily operations of our front desk. You must have the ability to multitask, be a hand on individual and be self-motivated. 

Duties include:

• All elements of customer service including telephone and face to face
• Processing payments and invoicing
• Basic administrative duties including scanning, filing, faxing, mailing etc
• Organising and management of appointments and patient enquiries
• Support general practice maintenance 

Essential Criteria:

• A high level of communication and interpersonal skills 
• Outstanding customer service and administrative skills 
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills 
• Caring and compassionate personality 
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical clinic setting
• Proficient with computerised systems including Best Practice
• Knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule an advantage
• Able to multi-task with high attention to detail
• Positive, with a strong work ethic
• Exceptional communication skills and highly developed people skills
